It is three years since we lost Yevgeny Kushnaryov. However, there remains a feeling that he is still among us being still a part of our lives. Especially when the life is so full of political actions and the society has to address issues of vital importance. It is not only us, the relatives, who wonder, what father would have done in this or that situation. What his reaction to events, agendas, claims and tendencies would have been. It is not mere chance that he is often referred to these days, both by political leaders and electors. To us it means that many of his ideas are still timely.  And the society is still in need of professional, charismatic and accountable leaders.

No matter what he was - a mayor, a Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine or a governor- sensitivity to social processes has always been Yevgeny Kushnaryov's distinctive characteristic. That was because he always remained a professional politician and policy maker. His position for the present would have reflected current processes in their manysidedness, inconsistency and fullness. People wish to live in a powerful country governed by those who deserve respect, rather than populists, by those who care about the citizens, their interests, rights and well-being. And it is not only us who believe that he has known a way to achieve the right standards. 

Yevgen Kushnaryov was an optimist. And even if the bitterness of losing him will always live inside us, we understand that life goes on. It continues in his grandchildren and in hundreds thousands of young people that infuse into this life new knowledge, progressive views and understanding of a necessity to move on. We are sure that father would have been among those. Just because he never stopped. This very characteristic we consider to be his main heritage.
